The Protection of Cultural Diversity
18 March 2007 – 19 March 2007, Netherlands
Cultural diversity has become a major issue of international concern. The G8, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO have expressed the need for the protection of cultural diversity.
Coinciding with the ratification of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, a conference will be held on the subject in Maastricht.
The conference aims at discussing the scope for national policies to protect and promote cultural diversity from an international and a European perspective.
