Training for Mobility and Intercultural Relations
02 November 2005, Romania
"Mobility, intercultural competence, cultural cooperation in the age of digital spaces. Networking and virtual networking as learning experiences" - Training for Mobility and Intercultural Relations 'Mobility' is increasingly becoming a key word in artistic practice, cultural management and policy. Yet, like all 'jargon', it means many things to many people. Cultural management trainers, teachers and practitioners need to equip their students and collaborators with the necessary understanding, facts and tools to be able to work in our increasingly global, mobile environment. Corina Suteu will deliver a training of trainers session designed to equip teachers and coordinators with the material they need to explain 'mobility' in the cultural field. Studies, bibliography, readers, internet tools, policy developments... All you need to know! After a session conducted on 8 September in Helsinki (during the ENCATC academy), On-The-Move together with ECUMEST will organise the second training of trainers on this issue, to take place in Bucharest. Should you be a cultural organiser, producer, manager or artist, or cultural management teacher/trainer interested in finding more about these issues, but also enabled to perform and further disseminate these training contents, REGISTER FOR THIS WORKSHOP! The session will take place at the Council of Europe Information Office in Bucharest (6 Alexandru Donici St.), which is partner to this event. The working language will be English. Thanks to EU support, which covers this part of the G2CC project of the LAB - the Laboratory of European Cultural Cooperation, the workshop is offered free of charge. The selection procedure is done through application forms. Transport to Bucharest and accommodation must be secured by the participants, while the organisers can offer assistance in finding international travel subsidies, as well as in recommending convenient accommodation in Bucharest. For a more detailed presentation of the training session's themes and structure, as well as the application form visit the ECUMEST website, or write to Stefania Ferchedau at stefania@ecumest.ro Application deadline: October 15, 2005. Further information is also available by contacting Katelijn Verstraete: ietm@ietm.org
