Creative industries is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world and is gaining importance in Hong Kong and Mainland in recent years. Developing cultural undertakings and cultural industry is in China's 11th Five-Year Plan. In the 2006 -2007 Policy Address, creative industries were highlighted as an important policy agenda. The Conference is most opportune amongst this rising aspiration and commitment on creative industries; and the focus of the Conference is on how the creative industries would help to nurture the growth of vibrant and sustainable cities. We will be inviting local, Mainland and overseas experts in the field to present papers, exchange views at the forums and breakout sessions. We are expecting attendees from international and local experts, professionals in / related to the planning and development fields, creative industries, investors, policy decision-makers as well as the public at large.
