The XIth edition of the Conference “European Culture” will take place in Barcelona between the 27th and the 29th of October 2011. The call for papers is now open. The presented papers that are selected by the Scientific Committee will be published in electronic format, with an ISBN, in the Conference Proceedings. 

It is an international and multidisciplinary conference that fosters the dialogue between experienced teachers and young researchers, therefore accepting papers from Ph.D. students.

“European Culture” isn’t understood as a specific identity, but as encompassing all the cultural expressions manifested in Europe and in relation to other continents.

The XIth Conference “European Culture” is organized by the Institut Carlemany d’Estudis Europeus of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), which is a young private university. The Institut Carlemany d’Estudis Europeus was created in 2000 out of the need to establish an area dedicated to teaching, studies, research and dialogue about Europe in the University.

The Conference “European Culture” is financially supported by the European Commission through the Jean Monnet Programme of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture. The conference is organized in collaboration with the “European Culture” Jean Monnet Chair ad personam held by Enrique Banús.
