The Arts Council of Ireland's Director, Patricia Quinn, has announced details of the organisation's grant decisions for this year, as well as outlining a new initiative to promote leadership in the arts. Multi-annual funding of €15.7 million for 61 companies was confirmed by Quinn, and, in addition, the council has offered 400 other companies one-year grants totalling €22.5 million. At a 22 February media briefing, Quinn spoke about the council’s changing approach to grant provision, as well as calling for proposals for the design and delivery of a program of management, policy and governance development for the arts in Ireland.
