The 44th Ministry was sworn into office by the Governor General, Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, at Government House on Wednesday 18 September 2013.
Under the Administrative Arrangements Order of 18 September, the functions of the Department of Regional Australia, Local Government, Arts and Sport will move to the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Attorney-General’s Department (Cultural affairs) and Department of Health (Sport).
