Farewell Jonathan Katz, CEO, NASAA

IFACCA,
16 October 2014, USA

IFACCA congratulates Dr Jonathan Katz on his 30 years of leading the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) and warmly thanks him for his contribution to the global arts and cultural community.

IFACCA has had the great pleasure of working with Jonathan since 2000 when, at the first World Summit on Arts and Culture in Ottawa, Canada, he generously offered his support and expertise to the establishment of IFACCA. His regular contributions to IFACCA’s strategic planning processes were greatly appreciated by the board and executive and played a key role in the successful establishment of IFACCA as an internationally respected service organisation for national arts funding agencies.

We would also note his important role in the development and facilitation of IFACCA’s CEO Leadership Seminars in Newcastle in 2006, Johannesburg in 2009, and in Melbourne in 2011, which proved to be highly valuable for the professional development of leaders in government arts councils and ministries of culture, and the expansion of IFACCA’s role in the area of advocacy.

We thank Dr Katz for sharing his expertise and for being a constant source of inspiration to his colleagues around the world. We wish him all the best for an active retirement.
