Rosemary Mangope appointed to IFACCA board

The CEO of the National Arts Council of South Africa, Rosemary Mangope, has been appointed to the board of IFACCA.  

The Chair of IFACCA, Alan Davey, welcomed Ms Mangope’s appointment and the valuable experience she brings from her 30-year career in the arts, business, and social and community development. In 2009 Ms Mangope was Acting Deputy Director General at the Department of Arts and Culture and, prior to that, was founder and Chief Director of the Arts, Social Development and Youth Division of the Department in 2005. Now in her second year as CEO of the NAC, she will also be able to provide wide-ranging perspectives on Africa to the board discussions. In other recent board decisions, Stephen Wainwright, CEO of Creative New Zealand, has been appointed Deputy Chair, and Poul Bache, Acting Director of the Danish Agency for Culture has been reappointed as Treasurer.
