The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) proudly announces that its Interim Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Julie Diphofa, was re-elected Deputy Chairperson of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) on 27 May 2025, during its 9th General Assembly held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Ms Diphofa said: “I am honoured to serve as a representative of an international organisation like IFACCA, and I would like to thank the IFACCA Board for putting their trust in me to continue in this capacity for the second year running. I am confident that this opportunity will enable me to remain an important voice for African thought leadership and reinforce South Africa’s role in shaping arts and culture priorities for the African continent.”
Ms Magdalena Moreno Mujica, Executive Director of IFACCA, affirmed her support to the newly elected leadership by echoing the following sentiments: ‘’We are delighted to have a full new Board comprising representatives from all our regional chapters, which will bring diverse knowledge, skills and insights to the governance of IFACCA. I am honoured to work with them over the coming years.’’
