When schools, municipalities and cultural life pull in the same direction, equality increases in children's access to art and culture in school, while the purchase support Creative School has a greater effect where it is needed most.
This year, the Swedish Arts Council is distributing SEK 220 million in Creative School grants to 443 school principals for the purchase of art and cultural projects for pupils in compulsory school. The initiatives are carried out during the 26/27 school year in collaboration with professional cultural actors and reach over 863,000 students throughout the country. The planned number of participating students corresponds to 70 percent of the grant's target group.
