On 1 April 2026, UNESCO convened the inaugural meeting of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) Friends Group (For CCI / सजृनात्मक उद्योगको लागी). The meeting was hosted by Lalitpur Metropolitan City. The founding members of the Group include the Bhaktapur Municipality, British Council, FCA Nepal, ILO, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and UNESCO.
