A joint team from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) and Tourism Solomon (TS) deployed to Choiseul Province on April 24, to assess the impact of Cyclone Malia on local tourism operators.
The team will spend one week on the ground, visiting affected businesses and tourism sites across key areas of the province, including Taro, the southeastern part of Choiseul, and the Shortland Islands. The mission aims to evaluate damage, identify immediate needs, and gather data to inform recovery support for the sector.
