Nepal is home to over 125 ethnic groups and more than 123 languages. While the country ratified the UNESCO 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in 2010 and the National Culture Policy 2010 recognizes safeguarding as a vital endeavor, much of Nepal’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) remains largely undocumented.
