As hostilities continue to impact the Middle East and neighbouring regions, UNESCO is scaling up its action to protect cultural heritage, sustain cultural life, and support culture professionals through both emergency response and long term preparedness. From immediate preparation for damage monitoring and stabilization in Iran, to knowledge exchange initiatives with the Gulf States, UNESCO is mobilising its mandate, tools and networks to safeguard culture in times of crisis and uncertainty.
