The Arctic Arts Summit (AAS) will be held in Umeå on 16–18 June. The summit gathers 700 delegates, and 200 agenda items are registered. The summit is an international platform for cultural exchange and cooperation with a focus on art and culture in the Arctic.
The Swedish Arts Council is arranging, among other things, the panel discussion Circumpolar Cultural Policy – from development to action, which opens the summit. The conversation is about how cultural authorities in the Arctic countries can develop collaborations and strengthen the conditions for art and culture in the Arctic – both based on past experiences and future challenges.
