Trade restrictions and UK creative services

Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC), 22 July 2026, United Kingdom

This report provides a major contribution to the implementation of the government’s Industrial Strategy in detailing for the first time the trade barriers specific to certain creative industries sub-sectors and to different markets. The analysis is the first at scale study to use official creative industries export data from DCMS in conjunction with OECD Services Trade Restrictiveness Index data.
