Social financing of culture - formal and legal solutions: premiere of the report

29 October 2026

Poland needs a new law for social financing and the development of cultural patronage. Nationwide consultations on solutions for the future of Polish culture have begun at the Ossolineum.

Polish's growing economic strength should increasingly translate into the development of culture, supporting talent, protecting heritage and strengthening local communities. During the II Forum of Patronage of Culture at the Ossoliński National Institute in Wrocław, the Opening Report "Social Financing of Culture – Formal and Legal Solutions" was presented. The document launches nationwide consultations on new instruments for supporting culture by citizens and entrepreneurs. The initiative, under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Marta Cienkowska, brings together the circles of culture, business, science, law and social organizations around a common goal: to create a modern legal basis for the development of patronage in Poland.
