UNESCO will celebrate the 25th anniversary of International Mother Language Day, reaffirming the importance of linguistic diversity and multilingualism in fostering dignity, peace, and understanding.

The SEAMEO SEPS Research Grants is launched to encourage academic and community-based researchers from Southeast Asia to undertake research on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and related themes. These grants aim to generate a wealth of knowledge on SEP, expand its application beyond Thailand, and contribute to community development, ultimately improving the quality of life in the region.

In the lead-up to the next edition of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2025, the first of a series of six Regional Consultation was held from 21 to 22 November 2024 in Madrid, Spain. The meeting sparked a dialogue on the state of cultural policies today and vision for the future.
