8th International Colloquium on Arts, Heritage, Non Profit and Social Marketing

Friday 11th September 2009, 9.15am – 4.30pm
Bradford University School of Management, United Kingdom

Theme: New Frontiers in Arts, Heritage, Non Profit and Social Marketing

Seminar Overview
The 8th International Colloquium on Arts, Heritage, Non Profit and Social Marketing provides an opportunity for academics and practitioners to attend a series of presentations that draw on the very latest theoretical and empirical research in arts, heritage, non profit and social marketing. Building on this, and also reflecting the change in location of the Colloquium from London to Bradford, the theme of the 8th International Colloquium is New Frontiers. Arts, Heritage, Non Profit and Social Marketing are all going through a period of growth and change, as new perspectives are emerging and the role of these fields within general marketing research and practice is gaining increasing attention. The Colloquium will provide an opportunity to discuss, engage with and reflect upon research at the forefront of arts, heritage, non profit and social marketing research.

Plenary Speaker
Professor Douglas Brownlie (Professor of Marketing, University of Stirling) has published widely on topics such as consumer culture theory, critical marketing and marketing management. In his plenary, Prof Brownlie will discuss his recent research on communities of practice and consumption, and the implications of this research for arts, heritage, non profit and social marketing.
