A SENSE OF BELONGING
27 June 2002, United Kingdom
Creative Exchange is holding a one-day mini-conference on the role of arts and cultural projects addressing the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.
A Sense of Belonging will be launched in the UK on Thursday June 27 as a follow up to UK Refugee Week. The principle strands will be: community integration and dialogue, and participation and empowerment.
The event, supported by the Arts Council of England, will offer a day of debate and exchange best practice, as a starting point for a global
dialogue - the key issues from this event will be used in follow up research and consultation at an international level over 12 months.
The conference will run from 9.30-5.30pm on Thursday June 27, at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London, WC1.
