Award winning animator James Eastope will lead an Animation Forum on
Wednesday 11 February 2004, 6.45-9.00pm at Light House Media Centre,
Wolverhampton. Light House has set up the Animation Forum for animators
in Wolverhampton and the West Midlands to get together, screen new work
and talk about the industry, including production and funding
opportunities. Admission is free. For further details contact Peter
McLuskie on 01902 716055 or email mailto:plot@light-house.co.uk
The evening will include a free screening of James Eastope's animation,
'Le Diable et le Garcon' (The Devil and the Boy), a dark tale of fear
and murder. This film has been exhibited widely and uses a variety of
techniques to tell the story of the day the devil got bored. James is
currently working on a short film script and is producing an animation
for a television pilot based on Clive Barker's 'Hellraiser'. There will
be an opportunity after the screening to ask James questions and meet
other animators.
The forum will be followed at 8.30pm by the first in a series of three
British Animation Awards 2004 Public Choice screenings, showcasing some
of the best animation produced across the UK and giving customers an
opportunity to vote for their favourite. (Cost: £3 each or all three
screenings for £7). For more information Tel: 01902 716055 or email:
