The Arts Advocacy Day Conference will take place March 29-31, 2004. This past year, arts advocates succeeded in securing increased funding for both the National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities, as well as increased funding for arts education programs within the US Department of Education. Arts Advocacy Day is strategically timed to give grassroots advocates the opportunity to shape federal arts policy and educate members of Congress. Arts Advocacy Day is held in conjunction with the Congressional Arts Caucus, and many members of Congress will be involved in the day's events. Additionally, more than 65 national arts, humanities, educational, and civic organisations co-sponsor this event each year. For more information about the conference or any of Americans for the Arts programs and services, email events@artsusa.org.
