Creative Clusters 2006
Co-hosted by Creative Clusters,
06 November 2006 – 08 November 2006, United Kingdom
Creative Clusters examines the growth of the cultural industries and their role in economic development and regeneration. We provide a network and events for people engaged in the development of the creative industries to:
Showcase their work
Learn from each other
Identify and articulate policy issues
Connect to development resources
Art, Science and Entrepreneurship
Creative Clusters believes that the cultural industries are unique among businesses in that they are capable of delivering value in economic, artistic and social terms. They generate high quality jobs, they project the identity of communities, cities and regions, they promote linguistic and cultural diversity, they open minds and they can be highly profitable.
Creative Clusters explores and advocates the idea that strategies for growth in this sector should address the whole creative ecology, challenging traditional boundaries between art, business, education and science, between for- and non-profit enterprise, between economic, social and cultural policy.
If you would like to contribute to Creative Clusters 2006 in NewcastleGateshead, UK we would very much like to hear from you.
The Call for Presentations opens on Monday 27th March and closes on Friday 5th May 2006.
