The Arts Council Of Wales has announced an all Wales conference to move dance forward in education.
The conference recognises dance as a creative force in the lives of children and young people and aims to:
- Raise the profile of dance education in Wales
- Share good practice, exchange views, debate the issues
- Commit to the ‘real’ development of dance education
- Shape the future of dance education in Wales
Conference Schedule:
Friday 30th January
• Welcome Opening Address, Dance, Creativity and Education: Welsh Assembly Government
• Perspectives on Dance Education: Arts Council of Wales, Sport Council of Wales, Local Authority, School, Dance Practitioner
• Discussion Groups: Debate on Key Issues
• Welsh Culture and Dance Education
Saturday 31st January
• Vision for the Future: Keynote Speech
• Raising Standards in Delivering Dance Education: Presentations, Case Studies and Practical Workshops
• A National Voice for Dance Education in Wales: Keynote Speech
