International Perspectives on Art and Design Pedagogy (IPC) is a conference that seeks to advocate communication, co-operation and innovation in the teaching and research of internationally relevant art, design and media education. IPC will ask important questions as to the present challenges and look forwards to possible solutions as we enter a new and exciting era for art and design in its international context.
Our keynotes are both internationally recognized for their contributions in advancing international co-operation and collaboration and we welcome their expertise. And with speakers invited from North America, S.E. Asia, Central Europe, the Middle East and the UK, this conference welcomes voices and perspectives on contemporary challenges and opportunities in art and design education.
With panels on thinking the international, enterprise and recruitment, immaterial pedagogies, cultural cartography, institutional and international collaboration, IPC welcomes delegates to engage with and discuss the present and future challenges in art and design pedagogy.
The conference will conclude with the civic launch of Light Night – a city wide cultural extravaganza advancing new practices and collaboration in the city of Leeds. More information on Light Night.
