Making a case for the Arts - The nalgao Conference

Nalgao's Conference has become a key date in the national arts calendar, last year attracting over 250 delegates to Brighton & Hove from a wide spectrum of English and Welsh authorities and regional and national arts organisations.
The 2005 Conference is a partnership event between nalgao, Cardiff Council and the Arts Council of Wales.
Making a case for Arts will explore how local authority arts services are one of the most important major contributors to the wide spectrum of arts and cultural practice, delivering on both local and central governments' core objectives.
Approaches to arts and creative industries delivery across England and Wales which highlight social diversity and cohesion, crosscutting issues and practices, regional diversity in culture as well as artform diversity will be exmained, using local and national, urban and rural case studies of good practice.
The Conference also includes study tours for delegates.
