Co-hosted by Museums Association,
06 October 2003 – 08 October 2003, United Kingdom
This year’s Museums Association Conference will focus on the major changes taking place in the museums and galleries sector, organisers have said.
The conference, which will take place in Brighton in October, will look at the social role museums and galleries are increasingly playing in regards to social inclusion issues.
The event will look at possible approaches to problems of social inclusion as well as creative solutions to audience development issues.
It will also explore how the museum and gallery workforce is developing, including an opportunity to examine work that has taken place in regards to salaries in the sector and the ‘so-called leadership deficit.’
Decision makers and strategic bodies will be able to present their plans while delegates will be given the opportunity to ask questions and scrutinise the work presented.
