Extract: This conference, to be held at the Wales Millennium Centre, will examine the arts in Wales and assess how they measure up against international standards. We will be studying how we as a nation engage with the rest of the world, bring the best of the world to Wales and enlarge our own international experiences and engagement. The aim of the conference is to encourage a more energetically outward looking approach from the arts community in Wales building on what we have already done and mapping the way forward in the years that lie ahead. The conference is aimed at all those who have a role to play in ensuring that the arts in Wales are a worldwide success. This includes artists, arts workers from the public and private sectors as well as those in academia and the media.
