The Argentine Embassy in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport hosted a Tango extravaganza at the National Cultural Centre.
The participating dance groups represents a wide cross section of Guyanese dance culture. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Dr. Frank Anthony met with the indigenous groups, and emphasized the importance of cultural education that is made possible through the schools managed by the Ministry.

Guyana has a vault of over 1200 artistic masterpieces. That entire national collection cannot be displayed at once because of the space constraints at the National Art Gallery. In an effort to bring the collection to the Guyanese public a decision was taken in 2014 to publish a series of books containing images of the national art collection. This task was undertaken by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT).
Stanley Greaves was presented with a Lifetime Award for his achievement in Guyanese Art. In this regard, a citation of high honour was presented to Greaves in recognition of his distinguished artistic career.
