Publication records Spanish cinema success

A new booklet from the Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts reveals record success for Spanish Cinema in 2003. The publication documents all data relating to the Spanish Cinema industry in 2003, including figures on cinema takings, number of spectators, domestic versus foreign content and more. The figures show Spanish cinema generated more than 100M€ in 2003, exceeding the previous year by 15M€ and representing the second highest earning in the last 10 years. The booklet also shows the market quota for Spanish film recorded a significant rise, from 13.6% to 15.77% with Spanish films attracting 21.73 million spectators in 2003, compared to 19.02 million in 2002.
