After hosting our first World Summit in the Nordic Region in May 2023, we are delighted to reconvene for the first time in North Asia in May 2025.

We are incredibly pleased to announce that the 10th World Summit on Arts and Culture will be co-hosted with Arts Council Korea (ARKO) in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 28 May to 30 May 2025, with the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday 27 May 2025.

The Summit will bring together leading policy makers, government representatives, researchers, innovators, managers and practitioners from the arts, culture and creative industries and related sectors from around the world for three days of an in-person global programme.

Mr Byoung Gug Choung, Chair Person, Arts Council Korea:

As we are marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Arts Council Korea, it is all the more meaningful to announce the hosting of the 10th World Summit on Arts and Culture in Seoul, which will lead us to explore the direction of the next 50 years.

ARKO and IFACCA together will do our utmost to expand the horizons of culture and arts through joint knowledge production with countries around the world and to show practical results.

Ms Magdalena Moreno Mujica, Executive Director, IFACCA:

Arts Council Korea has a longstanding relationship with IFACCA having joined the Federation as a National Member in 2006. We have admired their in-depth commitment to arts and culture through a range of policies, programmes and strategies from supporting and strengthening the working conditions of cultural and creative sectors, to embracing innovation and technology and to the future of work while advancing cultural rights and diversity of its cultural expressions.

On behalf of IFACCA, we are thrilled with this new partnership that will see the international community come together to debate critical issues as we seek more sustainable futures. The 10th World Summit will also be a key milestone in the journey to Mondiacult 2025.

With a wonderful backdrop and context celebrating Korean culture, we cannot wait to see you in Seoul in May 2025. Please save the date!

More details will follow in the coming months and registration for the 10th World Summit is due to open in June 2024. Follow #ArtSummitKorea for the latest updates.
