We are very pleased to welcome the National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) as a new Affiliate Member of the Federation. The National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) was established in 2020 by Act of Parliament and started its operations in 2022. The NACB is mandated to promote cultural tourism; foster urban regeneration; create platforms for advocacy and protection of practitioners; promote commercialisation and access to markets; create platforms for emergence of artistic and cultural spaces both in urban and rural communities and facilitate the inclusion of libraries as cultural centres in communities. The NACB is also mandated to facilitate regional and international cultural exchanges for promotion and development, collaborate and partner with bodies to advance the sector, facilitate resources mobilization both locally and internationally as well as providing financial assistance to practitioners.
