The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) is the lead strategic agency for museums, libraries and archives in the UK. As part of the wider MLA Partnership, it works with nine regional agencies to act collectively for the benefit of the sector and the public. The Council has two new roles are key to the delivery of the Cultural Olympiad and other programmes creating the museums, libraries and archives of the future:
Director Programme Delivery
Based in London with a salary of c£85K. Reporting to the Chief Executive you will: provide strategic leadership of national programmes for museums, libraries and archives in England, transforming services; assess and track risk and performance, promote best practice and modernise processes working across all three domains; and be an established and inspirational leader with vision, drive, and a proven track record of achievement within the cultural sector or managing programmes.
The Council is also seeking an MLA Programme Manager for the 2012 Games, based in London with salary c£55K.
