Includes the Arts Council's goals and actions in support to festivals, and publications relating to its festivals program. The Arts Council has identified a number of priority actions that are needed to support the pivotal role of festivals and events. These are to: identify, create and sustain key partnerships to strengthen the profile of festivals; to acknowledge and support the vital contribution of volunteers to festivals and events; and to advocate for a better regulatory environment on areas of specific concern, including VAT on non resident artists, health and safety and insurance.
