Bursary assistance for the World Summit

IFACCA,
10 September 2009, South Africa

With support from the Arts Council of Norway, the Danish Arts Agency, the Arts Council of Finland, and the Commonwealth Foundation, 22 bursaries have been awarded to assist delegates to attend the World Summit in Joburg this month.  A similar number of bursaries will also be awarded to delegates from South Africa.

Of the bursaries awarded to international delegates, 14 were awarded to delegates from Africa, three to Latin America, two to the Caribbean, and one each to Asia, Eurasia and the Pacific.

Bursaries will assist with the costs of travel, accommodation and registration for the Summit. The bursary programme was open to all potential delegates, and was publicised through ACORNS and the IFACCA network. A number of international networks, organisations and newsletters also assisted in publicising the bursary programme.

We look forward to meeting all delegates in Joburg later this month.
