Thank you to Americans for the Arts

IFACCA,
15 October 2009, USA

We would like to thank Americans for the Arts who help to meet the costs of producing and distributing ACORNS to our readers in the US.

An affiliate member of IFACCA since the Federation's inception in 2001, Americans for the Arts is the leading nonprofit organisation for advancing the arts in the USA. Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts .The Americans for the Arts website is a rich information resource for anyone working in arts policy - be they within or outside the US. Americans for the Arts also produces the popular Arts Watch newsletter.

IFACCA greatly appreciates this valuable ongoing partnership with Americans for the Arts which shares with IFACCA the belief that the arts are critical to improving people's lives.

We were also delighted that Americans for the Arts Board Member, Margie Reese, was able to attend the World Summit in Johannesburg last month. Ms Reese spoke at two roundtable sessions: Developing culturally diverse audiences: unsustainable political imperative or crucial to the survival of the arts? and Arts advocacy: methods, means and measures.
