On 27 May 2025, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) held its 9th General Assembly, held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
We are pleased to announce IFACCA’s new Board of Directors.
The following new directors have been elected:
- Michelle Chawla, Director and CEO, Canada Council for the Arts (Canada)
- Hailin Yu, Director General, International Cooperation Department, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) (China)
- Emile Kairua, Secretary and Head of Ministry, Ministry of Cultural Development, Cook Islands (Cook Islands)
- Humberto López La Bella, Director General of the Cabinet, National Secretary of Culture, Paraguay (Paraguay)
- Rafael Ivorra Zaragoza, Deputy Director General for International Relations and the European Union, Ministry of Culture, Spain (Spain)
- Maanka Chipindi, Director, National Arts Council of Zambia (Zambia)
- Julie Diphofa, Interim CEO, National Arts Council of South Africa (South Africa)
The following board members will continue their terms:
- Kristin Danielsen, CEO, Kulturdirektoratet - Arts and Culture Norway (Norway)
- Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director General, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Viet Nam (Viet Nam)
- Adrian Collette AM, Chief Executive Officer, Creative Australia (Australia)
- Kajsa Ravin, Director General, Swedish Arts Council (Sweden)
At the conclusion of the General Assembly, the new Board also appointed the following to the Executive Committee as office holders:
- Kristin Danielsen as Chair
- Julie Diphofa as Deputy Chair
- Adrian Collette as Treasurer
