NEMO announces the location and theme of the 2023 NEMO European Museum Conference. From 19-21 November, museum professionals are invited to Lahti, Finland, to discuss and exchange on ways for museums to act on the climate crisis and for sustainability.
Artists are invited to apply for the Roberto Cimetta Fund (RCF). The call for applications for a travel grant is dedicated to women artists and cultural professionals from the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean, who are willing to travel within the southern Mediterranean region for south-south mobility (North Africa and the Middle East). The call is open until 30 December 2022.
IETM introduces its Innovate Cultural Policy Event which will be held online on 25 January from 10:00 - 12:00 CET under the title Which side are you on? Ideas for Reaching Fair Working Conditions in the Arts. This event will introduce the ideas from two of its commissioned authors, Katja Praznik and Bojana Kunst, whose work is featured in the new publication under the same title.
The Creative Innovation Lab launched a new Call for 2023, which will incentivise players from different cultural and creative sectors, including audiovisual, to design and test innovative solutions for key challenges, with a potential positive long-term impact on multiple cultural and creative sectors. Deadline for applications is 20 April 2023.
Are you an emerging artist or band that wants to take its first steps abroad in 2023? Kultur | lx is a partner of the EXCITE network, a network of nine partner associations based in Europe (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom) that works closely to accelerate the internationalization of young artists and music companies throughout their careers. Application deadline: December 5, 2022.
The Committee on Culture of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) released a new Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on Culture and Climate Resilient Development. Hosted on the UCLG Learning platform known as #LearningWithUCLG, the MOOC explores the fundamental role of Culture in Climate Resilient Development, and focuses on the perspective of local and regional governments, as well as cultural actors and institutions from all continents. The MOOC is open to anyone interested in learning on the relation between culture, local public policies and climate resilient development. It is free of charge, available in English, and it includes a completion certificate.
