Monitoring the U.S. Arts Ecosystem: Announcing a New Federal Data Resource

National Endowment for the Arts,
28 February 2024, USA

On April 2, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm EST, the NEA will host a public webinar to announce the availability of a new suite of research-and-data tools. The NEA has established a National Arts Statistics and Evidence-based Reporting Center (NASERC) that will release statistical indicators about the arts in the United States. NASERC also will produce field scans, literature reviews, topical reports, and practitioner guides designed to benefit cultural workers, funders, and policy-makers.

For this release event, Sunil Iyengar, director of the NEA’s Office of Research & Analysis (ORA), will host two panel discussions—one with measurement and data experts from the federal, academic, and nonprofit sectors—and the other with arts and cultural researchers and practitioners. ORA’s Patricia Mullaney-Loss will demo the new NASERC resources. NEA Chair Maria Rosario-Jackson will kick off the event.
