Saturday 3 December marked the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), which coincided with the 10-year anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and took as its theme the recently-adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the their role in creating a more inclusive and equitable world for people with disabilities.
