Cultural Entrepreneurship Conference

10 December 2012 – 11 December 2012, Finland

Conference theme and topics
The conference themes focus on the spatial – physical, symbolic and social – changes that impact on the economy. Papers that consider these issues in relation to the development of smart, sustainable and inclusive regions – the three dimensions of the Europe 2020 strategy – are especially encouraged.

The conference is multidisciplinary  and therefore abstracts and full papers from different academic viewpoints are welcome but should focus on the unresolved dilemmas concerning transparency, accountability and legitimacy of decision making in regard to managing regions in the face of multi-level, multi-actor and multi-sectorial challenges. Papers should reflect on the various strengths and weaknesses, challenges and opportunities of networked regions within the context of cultural production enterprise in a globalizing society. This conference will examine alternative avenues emphasizing the role that the new patterns of activities, relationships and new forms of networking between regions in tandem with cultural production can play in enhancing national and regional competitiveness.

We kindly invite the submission of abstracts and full papers of Cultural Entrepreneurship Conference (CEC). Participants from different scientific disciplines are invited to contribute in the context of topical issues of the conference, Networked Cultural Heritage and its 'Impact' on Place Brands, Global Perspectives on Capturing Value through Entrepreneurial Partnerships.
