The City of Umeå will, together with the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Swedish Ministry of the Environment, and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions arrange a Nordic conference called "The Art of Co-Creation" in Umeå, Sweden on 17-19 September, 2013. It will be the Nordic Council of Ministers' 5th conference on sustainable development.
Approx. 500 participants from the Nordic countries and Europe are expected to attend the conference, which takes place at Folkets Hus in Umeå. The conference is mainly aimed at of officials and politicians in the public sector who are involved or interested in sustainable development, with added interest in one of the six thematic areas addressed.
The conference will be tri-lingual: Swedish (Scandinavian), English and Finnish, and there will be simultaneous interpretation between the languages.
The conference aims at reinforcing and developing local and
regional efforts towards sustainable development in the Nordic
countries.
