When Sweden plays host to the EU, the country wants “to show a culture that is modern, cross-border and open. The identities of Sweden and Europe are shaped by culture and are continually evolving.”
One of the official events is the conference “Promoting a creative generation”. In the context of the Year of Creativity and Innovation and the European Agenda for Culture, the focus of the conference organized by the Swedish Presidency of the European Union is the creativity and cultural habits of children and young people.
The aim of the conference is to contribute to the knowledge on how public policy, and the exchange of best practices on a European level, can contribute to create conditions in which children and young people’s right to access culture in all forms is guaranteed.
Only invited officials have access to the conference.
