CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Thursday emphasised that culture played an essential role in the region’s sustainable growth and development. LaRocque was speaking at the opening of the 36th meeting of the Council on Human and Social Development (COHSOD) at the CARICOM headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana.
