The CCCA seeks a full time Executive Director to manage a variety of services and programs provided to county artists, arts organizations, schools, and residents. The Arts Council in based in Chatham, NY, 120 miles north of NYC in the Hudson River Valley. Responsibilities include: managing and initiating arts programs; maintaining and developing broad-based community relationships; fundraising through membership and corporate sponsorship solicitation, grant writing, and special events; and supervising financial operations and one part-time (2/5) staff member. * Working closely with an active and committed Board of Trustees, the ideal candidate will have a record of achievement in the not for profit sector, with experience and/or participation in the arts preferred. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, along with fundraising and marketing/public relations expertise. * Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required, desk top publishing experience helpful. A full time Columbia County resident is sought for this position; non-residents willing to relocate will be considered.
