An exciting and challenging vacancy has arisen which will enable you to play a part in shaping the arts in Scotland. With a budget of approximately £55 million and 90 staff, the Scottish Arts Council is the principal channel for government funding of the arts in Scotland. Working here, you will, as a member of the senior management, play a key role in the strategic development of SAC and provide financial services, forecasts, analysis and assessment of the development and implementation of policy and strategy for the Funding and Resources Department, which includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Premises Management and Grants Administration. You will have extensive experience in senior finanacial/managerial positions and staff management as well as having a professional accountancy qualification. You will also have an understanding of the Modernising Government agenda and/or other quality and change initiatives and experience in applying them. Salary up to £50,000 plus a non-contributory pension scheme although more may be available for an exceptional candidate.
