The UNESCO-ICOMOS documentation centre specializes in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. It gathers and disseminates information concerning principles, techniques and policies for the conservation, protection, rehabilitation and enhancement of monuments, groups of buildings and sites. The documentation centre keeps around 40,000 volumes, 400 periodicals and a collection of 25,000 slides on monuments and sites inscribed in the World Heritage List.
