Reporting to NSO's President, the successful candidate for Executive Director will have the following attributes;
-skilled at fund-raising and development
-eager to be a key player in the revitalization of a respected musical institution
-creative problem solver
-people-oriented individual who presents a positive face to our community
-well-organized and able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously while exhibiting grace under pressure
-capable of building positive relationships with advertisers, audiences, Boards, conductors, contributors, guest artists, members of diverse communities, musicians, other arts organizations and volunteers
-recent experience in musical arts management in the Northeastern United States
-understands music and concert production
computer facile, including spread sheet and word-processing software
-resides within 50 miles of Norwalk, Connecticut or willing to relocate there at own expense
Executive Director's annual base compensation will be up to $50,000, commensurate with experience and skills, with possible performance incentives. Benefits include a contribution to Executive Director's health insurance and paid vacation.
