DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE FOR INDIVIDUAL GIVING

Job Description Coordinates annual campaign to raise gifts of $1,000 and up from individual donors. Duties include researching current and prospective individual donors; planning and coordinating donor acknowledgment and cultivation events; working with board members to encourage and facilitate their solicitation of gifts from individuals; gift processing and drafting of solicitation letters and acknowlegements. Works with benefit committee to plan annual benefit event and acts as principal staff liason with benefit coordinator. Reports to Director of Development. Requirements The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in arts administration or equivalent experience; a minimum of three years professional development experience, preferably in an arts organization and including direct contact with board members; excellent written and oral communication skills; sound financial managment skills; strong computer skills; and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
