Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Historical and Cultural Programs, seeks a Curator for African-American History and Culture. Starting salary $34,908 plus benefits. State Special Appointment for the Banneker-Douglass Museum, Annapolis, Maryland. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the museum administration, staff, and the public to extend the knowledge and perspective of Maryland's rich African-American heritage. The curator will participate in the museum's exhibit development, educational programming, and outreach. Curator will also be responsible for collection development, collection management, and other museum functions. Minimum requirements bachelor's degree in history or a related field preferably supplemented by a master's degree in history or a related field. Three years responsible experience in a museum or a combination of education and experience preferred.
